Since 2004 Michael has been a frequent guest artist with orchestras; presenting vaudeville-inspired, fully-staged performances of classic stories for young audiences. His repertoire inlcudes: Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, Kapilow's Green Eggs and Ham, Poulenc's The Story of Babar, Mozart's The Toy Symphony, and Kleinsinger's Tubby the Tuba.
He has performed with the orchestras of Philadelphia, Saint Louis, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Richmond, New Haven, Princeton, Kennett, Newark, Lincoln, Texarkana, Annapolis, Westchester Philharmonic and New Jersey’s Symphony in C.
He makes his Canadian debut with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra in June 2013.
He has also appeared in numerous Beyond the Score presentations, including: Bartok’s The Miraculous Mandarin, Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, Beethoven 5, and Prokofiev 5 (Philadelphia Orchestra), Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition and Tchaikovsky 4 (Des Moines Symphony Orchestra), and Shostakovich 4 (National Symphony Orchestra.)
Michael’s theatre credits include American Players Theatre, Delaware Theatre Company, Enchantment Theatre Company, Resident Ensemble Players (REP), First State Children’s Theater Company, and the Utah and Baltimore Shakespeare festivals.
Since 1997, Michael has also created theatrical, literature-based performances for museums and libraries, including the Delaware Art Museum, Delaware Division of Libraries, Brandywine River Museum, Longwood Gardens, Hagley Museum, Hershey Museum, Reading Art Museum, and Farnsworth Art Museum.
