Matching Gifts

Many companies — including SunTrust Bank, Bank of America, LandAmerica Financial Group and Dominion — match charitable gifts made by their employees! Designating a matching gift to benefit the Symphony is a great way to boost your gift’s impact and may also allow you to receive greater benefits and recognition. For example, if you make a gift of $200 and your employer matches your gift with another $200, you are considered to be a donor at the $400 level.

Planned Giving - "Leave A Legacy"

As you plan your estate, we hope you will keep in mind the Richmond Symphony. Recently, the Symphony has been fortunate to learn that some of its patrons have included the orchestra in their estate plans. These gifts help us maintain our financial stability, expand our educational programs, grow artistically, and increase our community outreach. These Symphony patrons become members of the Rennolds Society, organized to recognize and thank those who have included the Symphony in their estate plans. Regardless of the planned giving technique used or the size of the gift, we are grateful to be remembered in this way.

We can help you take those first important steps toward planning your estate. Through some helpful estate planning brochures – which we are happy to send to you free of charge – you will learn how the most popular and useful charitable giving techniques can help you fulfill your philanthropic and financial goals. The rewards are many! You can guarantee security for yourself and your loved ones, support charitable organizations of importance to you, reap financial and tax benefits, and find peace of mind. Once you receive our brochure, we would be happy to advise you, but we always recommend you also consult your own financial advisor.

When you notify us that the Symphony is included in your estate plans, you will automatically become a member of the Rennolds Society. Members receive invitations to concerts, receptions, the Symphony’s Annual Meeting and other special events. With your permission, we would include your name with members of the Rennolds Society in concert programs. (If you prefer to remain anonymous, we will honor your wishes and respect the confidentiality of your gift.)
