SUMMARY:Tchaikovsky & Mahler in Midlothian
DESCRIPTION:Music Director Candidate Laura Jackson and the Richmond Symphony will travel to Midlothian for a special performance at the Midlothian High School. The program will include selections from Michael Gandolfi’s “The Garden of Cosmic Speculation\,” a work inspired by the eccentric\, physics-based garden in Scotland\, and Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme featuring the talent of cellist Julian Schwarz. Closing the evening will be Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 in D Major\, “Titan\,” a glorious work echoing nature and song. \nThis concert will be held at*:\nMidlothian High School\n401 Charter Colony Parkway\nMidlothian\, VA 23114 \n*Please note the venue was recently changed.
