SUMMARY:Menuhin Competition Celebration Concert
DESCRIPTION:Join internationally renowned conductor Jahja Ling and the Richmond Symphony in celebration of the Menuhin Competition Richmond 2021. Ling will be joined onstage by Angelo Xiang Yu\, Senior 1st Prizewinner of the Menuhin Competition Oslo 2010 and a juror for this year’s Competition.  Yu has won international acclaim for his astonishing technique and exceptional musical maturity. This spectacular concert will include a world premiere by Richmond native\, Mason Bates\, commissioned in honor of this year’s Competition. \nThis year’s Menuhin Competition is like no other and the Richmond Symphony is proud to be the first city in the world to present fully virtual Competition rounds alongside in-person experiences.
