SUMMARY:Celebrate MLK 2024
DESCRIPTION:A concert for all ages honoring Martin Luther King Jr. and celebrating his inspiring message. \n  \n“Our goal in this show was to go through an array of music to introduce young people and also to celebrate the rich musical history that composers of African descent have contributed to. This particular concert will celebrate a broad range of truly classical music but music that they may not have heard or heard about. It’s very accessible. It is designed as a concert to give honor and reflection to the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. in a way that is both reverent and entertaining.” – Dr. Henry Panion III\, guest conductor

SUMMARY:Richmond Symphony in Culpeper
DESCRIPTION:Experience an evening of musical splendor as the Richmond Symphony takes you on a captivating journey through a diverse repertoire. The overture from Smetana’s “The Bartered Bride” sets the tone with its lively melodies and spirited rhythms\, transporting you to a world of romance and charm. Coleridge-Taylor’s “Petite Suite de Concert” follows\, weaving together delicate nuances and vibrant orchestration in a showcase of refined elegance. “Chasing the Sun” by Ke-Chia Chen then offers a contemporary exploration of sound and emotion. The evening ends with Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7\, a majestic masterpiece that will leave you awe-inspired.
