DESCRIPTION:As part of St. Michael Catholic Church’s 25th Anniversary celebration\, we are pleased to announce that the Richmond Symphony Orchestra and Richmond Symphony Chorus will be returning to St. Michael for one performance! \nThe Orchestra\, under the direction of Conductor\, Erin R. Freeman\, will perform pieces from Beethoven\, Ravel\, Mahler\, Tchaikovsky\, Brahms\, and Handel.  Violinist\, Daisuke Yamamoto will be featured in the program. The Chorus will join the Orchestra for Jim Erb’s arrangement of Shenandoah. \nThere will be one 15 minute intermission\, at which refreshments will be available.  The performance will be in the center of St. Michael’s round Sanctuary — providing a unique experience for the audience. \nEarly bird ticket sales provide a discount on the price of each ticket.  Reserved seating is offered in the “chairs” in the sanctuary; general seating is available in the pews.

DESCRIPTION:The Youth Orchestra Program is the Richmond Symphony’s flagship educational program\, founded in 1962\, consists of four youth orchestras providing beginning to advanced musical training. As the premier orchestral training program of central Virginia\, students participate in weekly rehearsals\, coaching and masterclasses by Richmond Symphony musicians\, chamber music performances\, mentoring and other musical and social activities. The Youth Orchestra Program is open to elementary through high school students. SUMMARY:Spring Concert
DESCRIPTION:Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra (RSYO) is the top ensemble of the Youth Orchestra Program. Richmond Symphony’s flagship educational program\, founded in 1962\, consists of four youth orchestras providing beginning to advanced musical training. As the premier orchestral training program of central Virginia\, students participate in weekly rehearsals\, coaching and masterclasses by Richmond Symphony musicians\, chamber music performances\, mentoring and other musical and social activities. The Youth Orchestra Program is open to elementary through high school students. Rehearsals are held every Tuesday afternoon September through May. \nAuditions for RSYO are held each spring – learn more!
