DESCRIPTION:Join Richmond Symphony Concertmaster Daisuke Yamamoto and Director of Education & Community Engagement Walter Bitner for this deep dive into the music of our 2021-22 Masterworks Concert Season. Each class in this unique companion course will focus on the repertoire of the Symphony’s next Masterworks concert performance and feature a special guest with a critical role in the performance. Guests will include Music Director Valentina Peleggi\, Associate Conductor Chia-Hsuan Lin\, Symphony Chorus Director Erin Freeman\, and many more! Through recordings\, images\, scholarship\, biographies\, backstage stories\, and discussion we will listen and engage more deeply with the music and the artists who bring it to life. \nEach class is 60-75 Minutes long and will take place on Zoom.   \nRequired Technology: Computer\, tablet\, or smartphone with microphone/camera + internet access. A zoom link will be emailed to you 48 hours before the class.

DESCRIPTION:The Richmond Symphony returns to Hardywood Park Craft Brewery  for the brewery’s 10th anniversary! Chamber classics\, craft beer\, pizza\, and fun. These casual\, intimate concerts are a whole new way to experience the Symphony! Concerts are 60 to 75 minutes long. \nThis concert takes place at the Richmond location (2410 Ownby Ln\, Richmond\, VA 23220). \nYour ticket grants you access to Hardywood’s space. There are some chairs and plenty of standing room available in the barrel room where the orchestra sets up. If being seated is a high priority for you\, please arrive early to secure a seat (doors open at 5pm). \nPlease note that you are enjoying the orchestra in a bar atmosphere. Feel free to move in and out of the space\, eat and drink\, or snap a photo (no flash please). Like any bar\, there will be conversation as well.
