Masterworks

Blazing the trail for theatrical experience is the Masterworks concert series for September, October, and November. Music Director Valentina Peleggi and the Symphony’s artistic team have reinvented the programs to allow for sufficient distancing between players on stage, without sacrificing guest artists or key themes and composers. In an effort to accommodate our audiences we have added an additional performance on Friday evenings to maintain socially-distanced seating. This will be a condensed 80-minute concert without an intermission. Our Saturday night performances will offer an in-person or livestreamed concert experience. The in-person concert will be held at Dominion Energy Center with socially-distanced seating and face mask requirements. Additionally, an online livestreamed concert experience will be available. The Sunday afternoon performance will offer the same program with in-person seating only. More details regarding fall concert programming are to be determined. Livestream & In-Person concert tickets on sale now!

Thank you to Altria, presenting sponsor of the Livestream Masterworks series and the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation. The Richmond Symphony is partially funded by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts; CultureWorks & the Arts and Cultural Funding Consortium — supported by the City of Richmond and the Counties of Hanover and Henrico.
