This is music that captures the energy, the exuberance, the promise of a great nation. Music Director Valentina Peleggi conducts Dvorak’s love-letter to America, the “New World” Symphony. Plus, works by two of music’s foremost Black composers: Adolphus Hailstork’s Fanfare on Amazing Grace lifts our spirit – and celebrates his 80 th birthday. Then Louis Schwizgebel performs music of pioneer Florence Price, her one-movement Piano Concerto.
