The Richmond Symphony returns to Sweet Briar College. Under the baton of Hae Lee, this vibrant program journeys across Europe and America, blending the elegance of the Mendelssohns with the contemporary energy of Jessie Montgomery’s Strum. Experience beloved orchestral favorites, from the lyrical beauty of Mascagni’s Intermezzo and Grieg’s Peer Gynt selections to the thrilling drama of Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain, culminating in Mendelssohn’s sunlit and exuberant “Italian” Symphony.
