Paul Bedell is the Principal Double Bass of the Richmond Symphony. Prior to his appointment in Richmond in 1983 under Jacques Houtmann, he was the Assistant Principal Bass of the Omaha Symphony. Paul was a fellowship student of Stuart Sankey at the Aspen Music Festival for five years, as well as a member of the Aspen Chamber Symphony and Festival Orchestras. He studied with Warren Benfield of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
