Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Richmond Symphony. We offer two volunteer opportunities on a regular basis.
- Office Assistance: Volunteers can sign up to be notified of opportunities to assist in the office. This usually involves helping to stuff and stamp envelopes, though it can also involve computer work or crafts. Volunteers are notified by email when these opportunities are available. After 10 volunteer hours, volunteers receive a ticket voucher for 2 free tickets to a Richmond Symphony concert.
- Will Call/Front of House help: Volunteers arrive 1-2 hours before the concert and assist with distributing Will Call tickets. In smaller venues, volunteers might help with ticket taking, handing out programs, seating, guarding doors, or selling tickets. Patrons receive 2 free tickets to the concert they are working as well as free parking. These positions often require volunteers to stand for 1-2 hours at a time. Volunteers sign up to volunteer for these events through and online program called Monday.com.
If you are interested in either opportunity, please send your email and cell number to Richmond Symphony Patron Services at patronservices@richmondsymphony.com. Please note which opportunity you are interested in or if you are interested in both.
Symphony fans should also consider joining the Richmond Symphony League (RSL). This is a separate non-profit organization that supports the Symphony. Visit their website at https://www.RichmondSymphonyLeague.org/ for more information.
The volunteer usher staff at both the Dominion Energy Center (Carpenter Theatre) and the Altria Theater are managed by ASM Global. Visit https://www.DominionEnergyCenter.com/about-us/volunteering for more information.
